FREEFALL

 

have you ever watched a spider

how she so simply

launches herself

 

freefall

 

on that tiny silver thread 

of magic she has spun

 

and isn’t it like that

 

when we ask someone to love us

or when we choose to love them

without even asking for returns

 

and then

over time

we can look back

all around us

 

this magnificent glistening love

weaving us together
